Saint Lucia Postal Service Philatelic Bureau

Our Philatelic Bureau, based at General Post Office, Bridge Street, Castries, is a wonderful haven for stamp collectors/philatelists from all over the world.

Our very first postage stamp was issued on 18 December 1860 and the first commemorative stamp, marking the 400th Anniversary of Columbus’ discovery of St Lucia, was issued in 1902.

Since then we have continued to produce an excellent range of attractive stamps which epitomize our interesting history, our rich culture, our beautiful flora & fauna and exciting world renowned events.

We produce on average three commemorative issues on an annual basis and one definitive series every four to five years. Some issues also include a First Day Cover and a souvenir sheet.

Local customers and visitors to our island can visit our office at General Post Office to purchase stamps of their choice over the counter.

Customers who live aboard can purchase stamps by mail order. Customers may choose to have a standing order account based on their requirements. Other customers can purchase at will. Shipping and handling is free for all customers.

Remittance for stamps can be made by Money Order, Postal Order and Bank drafts, payable to Postmaster General. Presently, we are not able to process credit card payments but we will advise of any changes in this regard at the soonest.
